Cat Fancy Association
The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) — has been intimately involved with Winn Feline Foundation’s early history. From the initial $125 donation in 1968 through our first grant to the University of California, Davis in 1971, CFA set the tone for being a “purr-fect partner.”
Backed by CFA’s support, Winn provided almost $1.5 million into research grants for feline health studies by 1996. While both organizations have followed separate pathways in recent years, research grant funding surpassed $6 million by the end of 2017. Winn’s Donor Tree, with its legacy of cumulative donors, found a home on the CFA main boardroom headquarters in Alliance, OH.
Winn Feline Foundation continues to have a close, family-like relationship with its founding organization. As CFA holds its annual meeting in one of seven regions, Winn also conducts its annual continuing education symposium and board meeting.

— PetSmart Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit animal welfare organization with a mission to find lifelong, loving homes for all pets by supporting programs and thought leadership that bring
people and pets together. In addition to finding homes for almost 500,000 shelter pets each year through its in-store adoption program in all PetSmart stores across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, PetSmart Charities provides funding to non-profits aligned with its mission through four key areas of grant support: Preventing Pet Homelessness; Helping Shelter Pets Thrive; Supporting the Bond Between People and Pets; and Emergency Relief and Disaster Support. Wisdom Health — The Wisdom Health mission is to facilitate responsible pet care by enhancing the well-being and relationship between pets, pet owners, breeders, shelters and veterinarians through valuable insights into pets as individuals. Through the genetic testing of dogs and cats they aim to make advances in science towards a better world for all pets so their owners can love them longer.
Zoetis (zô-EH-tis) — derived from zoetic, meaning “pertaining to life” — supports customers and businesses focused on raising and caring for livestock and companion animals. Building on a 60-year history as the animal health arm of Pfizer, Zoetis discovers, develops, manufactures and markets veterinary vaccines and medicines, complemented by diagnostic products and genetic tests and supported by a range of services.
The Winn/Zoetis 2014 joint grant program is a part of Zoetis’ Commitment to Veterinarians™ platform, which offers support through training and education, research and development, investing in the future of the veterinary profession and philanthropy. The grant complements a number of other Zoetis programs supporting the veterinary profession, including millions invested in industry education and training each year.
